Migraine is a medical condition that involves severe, recurring headaches and other symptoms. Before the headaches, there may be sensory changes that are known as aura.An aura is a disturbance of the senses in the stages of an episode.The aura can act as a warning that a migraine headache is approaching. ✓Vestibular Migraine; vertigo is a symptom of this form of migraine.it is a sensation of feeling off balance,you might feel like you are spinning or that the world around you is spinning.
✓Basilar Migraine;This is a rare type of migraine and is also known as migraine with brainstem aura and can affect neurological functions,such as a person's speech.
If the following symptoms occur,the person should seek for immediate medical help;
(I)an unusually severe headache.
(II)visual disturbance
(III)loss of sensation
(IV)difficulty speaking.
These could indicate another condition that may need urgent attention,such as a stroke.
There is no cure for migraine,but thankfully treatments may reduce the frequency and severity of attacks and help relieve symptoms.
